Suggested New Member Induction Script
Every new member of an Exchange Club desires, and most certainly has a right to, a warm and proper welcome.
We are pleased to share with you a few suggestions on how to make every new member feel good about the personal commitment he or she is making to your Exchange Club ... America's Service Club.
Remember: a new member is inducted only once, so do it right!
- Conduct the induction ceremony as soon as possible following the individual's acceptance of the invitation to join, or when the membership certificate is received.
- The ceremony should be conducted with proper decorum.
- The induction should take approximately five to seven minutes and should be scheduled on the agenda. Never induct a member while the meal is being served or in progress.
